Okay, this ornate Corbel is just incredible and it's HUGE. First let me describe to you the bottom of the corbel which depicts a face of a woman...lots of curvey detailing and looks to be grapes hanging above her face. The face itself is just lovely...lots of detail. This is a very heavy chunky piece. The top shelf measures 12 inches long by 10 inches wide and measures 16 inches long. The back and shelf are made of solid wood (the detailing appears to be some kind of resin or plastic substance) and has hangers on the back; so it's ready to hang. Currently it is a greyish color however I would paint it white...on the bottom of the shelf there is a piece missing however if you painted it it would just add to the charm .
